The frontman of the Russian musical group “Zero” Fedor Chistyakov left Russia because of the ban of “Jehovah’s Witnesses”. Earlier he went on a tour in the United States, where now no plans to return.
Fedor Chistyakov said “Novaya Gazeta” on 31 July that his interview can be considered “official statement” about immigration, because he “just left out”.
The court’s decision banning “Jehovah’s Witnesses”, Chistyakov plunged into shock, and the rejection of the appeal was due to the fact that he refused to return to Russia. As stated 49-year-old artist, the project “Fedor Chistyakov Band” will continue to exist, but without “physical” Chistyakov.
We will remind that on April 20 the Supreme court recognized “Jehovah’s Witnesses”, the radical organization, whose activities should be prohibited on the territory of Russia. Previously, “Jehovah’s Witnesses” applied to the Supreme court of Russia with a request to recognize them as “victims of political repression”, and received a refusal. After this, the organization announced the intention to appeal to the ECHR, writes TASS.
