16 and 17 September in St. Petersburg will show “only the end of the world” on the famous play by Jean-Luc Lagarce.
Play “only the end of the world” (the one which made his acclaimed film Director Xavier Dolan) was written in 1990 and has a rich history of productions. However, in Russia it was staged for the first time in Petersburg Theater of Generations premiered in the summer of 2017.
A young writer, Louis learns that the terminally ill, and goes to meet the family that had not seen in 12 years. But, having arrived in the parental home, Louis never reported by the native news of his death. Family members, immersed in their problems, “missing” leaving the closest person.
The plays of Lagarce in France are incredibly popular, are studied in universities he made a revolution in drama. Some call it a French Chekhov, the other successor of the traditions of the theatre of the absurd.
The number of tickets is strictly limited — only 60 in the audience!
