An Oscar nominee Hollywood actress Michelle Williams officially declared for the lead role of the biographical film about the rock legend in the 1960s Janis Joplin, the Director who will be Sean Durkin.
During the discussion of the last sliver of Michelle’s “Manchester by the Sea” with journalists from E! Online, the actress spoke about her new film project.
“The happiest days in the life of an actor comes when they are given a role in the film. Before you ask role: “Give her to me! I beg of you! I’ll die if I don’t get it! I have to get it. Please I will do anything I promise.. I’ll do it, just take it!”. When you give work, you jump for joy: “I got it! I’m so glad! I can’t believe my luck!”. And then comes the anxiety. I am now in this anxiety-happy phase,” said Michelle.
It is already known that the film will be an adaptation of the book “Love, Janis,” written by the late singer’s sister Laura Joplin. The bestseller also hit the letters that the artist wrote to his family and friends as well as the chronology of her struggle with alcoholism and drug addiction in the last six months of her life. Janice joined the so-called “group 27” — the list of artists who died at the age of 27 years. The death of the singer was caused by a drug overdose.
