Andrew Lloyd Webber admitted that the idea of moving Nicole Scherzinger to Leona Lewis in the Broadway production of “Cats” belonged to his son, Alastair. The latter had collaborated with Island Records and helped produce the last album Leona.
At the premiere of the musical, which took place this Sunday, Andrew said: “He’s young, he’s only 23 years old, he had never seen the performance, but said that Leon is perfect for the lead role. I have to admit, my son was right.”
Nicole will continue to play in the British setting, while Leona will perform her party in new York.
