As you know, the artist who was supposed to represent Russia at the musical contest “Eurovision-2017” Yulia Samoilova was denied entry to Ukraine – the country which this year takes the contest. The European broadcasting Union, dealing with “Eurovision”, it seemed, found a way out: Samalova could participate in the contest remotely, i.e. without crossing the border of Ukraine.
But such variant did not suit the host country. Recently it became known that the Ukrainian government gave Russia the condition under which they could become part of “Eurovision”. According to the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Vyacheslav Kirilenko, for full participation in the competition is enough to choose any other contractor.
“Russia itself may find a way out of this situation, offering the participant or the participant who has no problems with Ukrainian legislation”, – he said in the air of “Ukrainian radio”. Kirilenko added that in this case, the issue of Russia’s participation in the contest will be resolved very quickly.
I agree with these conditions is unknown.
Recall, the main reason why Yulia Samoilova denied access to Ukraine, was her performance in the Crimea: Kiev still considers part of its territory, despite the fact that the Republic has long been a part of the Russian Federation.
