Jay-Z is suing a record label Prince

We reported that the popular American rapper Jay-Z was denied the music of a deceased musician Prince, who left after over three hours of previously unpublished music. But that was only the beginning. Now NPG NPG Music Publishing and Music Publishing, record labels, owned by the Prince sued the record label Jay-Z Roc Nation.

According to the lawsuit, filed on Tuesday 15 November, Roc Nation have breached the agreement, signed by the Prince shortly before his death. Under the signed agreement, the Tidal service owned by Roc Nation, began selling Studio album, “HITNRUN (Phase One)”, written by Prince. Of course, all profits from its sale went into the pockets of the Corporation to Jay-Z, that did not like the labels of artist and they insist on a refund.
The company of the rapper filed a counterclaim, arguing that it has all “oral and written agreements” on the entire directory of the deceased artist. However, to prove it in writing they never did. Thus, “reproduce, distribute and publicly perform the music” Roc Nation can’t. A representative of Jay-Z refused to comment on the situation.
