The organizer of the concert Artem Voznyuk said on Facebook that the threats began almost immediately after the announcement of the coming concert of Svetlana Loboda at the stadium “Chernomorets”. The radicals were threatening illegal actions against the citizens of Odessa.
Voznyuk said that, given the threat of neo-Nazis and the concern of the Governor and the chief of police of the Odessa region, a decision was made to cancel the concert.
On 3 August the head of the Odessa regional state administration Maxim Stepanov wrote on Facebook that advocates the “rule of law” and “dictatorship of law”. He stated that there was no “legal reason” to ban the concert Loboda: there is only “moral position”.
Earlier, the former leader of the extremist group “Right sector” (banned in Russia) Sergey Sternenko threatened to disrupt the concert Svetlana Loboda.
We will remind, in may 2017, the neo-Nazis disrupted a performance of Loboda in the club “Ibiza” in Odessa. The radicals staged a fight with police used smoke bombs.
