Russian rapper Vasily Vakulenko, better known by his stage name Basta nominated for the award “person of the year”. Men’s magazine GQ announced the nominees for the prestigious award.

It is known that for the title of “musician of the year” rapper will compete with the artistic Director of the Perm Opera and ballet theatre, Teodor Currentzis, Ukrainian singer Ivan Dorn, pianist Denis Matsuev and hip-hop artist Husky.
In 2016, that’s already claimed the title “Musician of the year”, but the prize was awarded to Sergey Shnurov, the leader of group “Leningrad”. On his page in the network Instagram the rapper informed fans that he was ready for the ceremony. The artist has published a photo, which appeared in a new suit.
“Tomorrow, GQ men of the year. I’m ready,” signed the Basta.
Earlier media reported that the rapper claim the prestigious prize for a concert in “Olympic” in April 2016. His speech came to hear about 35 thousand people.
