Now quite popular and in demand actress and Director Elizabeth banks have struggled to come to fame a little earlier. Hopes and plans of the stars was the film adaptation of the comic book “spider-Man”.
Like many young Actresses of Hollywood, Elizabeth auditioned for the lead role and believed she should go to her.
But the Studio involved in production project was denied banks, citing age. At the time of casting Elizabeth was 26 years old.
“I auditioned for the role of Mary Jane Watson in the first “spider-Man” with Tobey Maguire. Toby and I are the same age, and I was told that I’m too old for this role,” recalls banks. Preference was given to the Studio, the actress who is almost 10 years younger, Elizabeth – 18-year-old Kirsten dunst.
The very same Elizabeth had to settle for a much more modest role of Secretary Betty Brant.
It is fair to say that in his 26 years, banks really looked older than his years. Most likely Elizabeth refers to the type of women that are in 20 years look 30, 30 30, and even at an older age is still 30.
