British fashion designer Richard Nicoll, a colleague and a great friend of Victoria Beckham, died yesterday morning in Sydney, Australia from a heart attack. The designer was only 39 years old.
The native of London at the time, had designed the costumes for the performers Spice Girl, Victoria Beckham and Emma bunton after the group disbanded, remained a fan of his work. After the wife of David Beckham chose career instead of music, he was one of the few designers who supported her creative impulse.
“So sad that Richard Nicoll no longer with us. Such a tragic loss for the entire fashion industry and everyone who was personally acquainted with him” — wrote Victoria on his page in the social network.
Thoughts are with Mrs Beckham and Emma bunton and Lily Allen, who, in their confessions, “I am proud of acquaintance with Richard”. Chief editor of the Australian edition of “Vogue” also made an official, full of sorrow, statement: “Richard was one of the most extraordinary talented designers, and wonderful, warm, brilliant man. We sympathize with the friends and family of Richard and send them your prayers at this difficult time”.
