Alicia Silverstone is back on TV
The star of “Clueless” took the lead role in the Comedy pilot TV Land channel’s “American Woman”. This publication reports The Hollywood Reporter.
The plot of the Comedy inspired by the life of Kyle Richards (“Real Housewives of Beverly hills”), is set in the 1970s in the midst of the sexual revolution and growth of feminism. Silverstone will play Bonnie Nolan, a mother of two daughters who after a divorce opens up a whole new world. Struggling to support his family, Bonnie intends to defend its independence in a world that is not ready to give it to her.
The script for “American Woman” written by John of Piggy (“30 rock”), who will share the duties of Executive producer John wells (“Shameless”). The production of the Comedy will Studio Warner Horizon Television under the banner of John Wells Productions. For his part, Richards will act as co-producer. Filming will take place in Los Angeles, not Atlanta, as originally planned.
